Fuel Surcharge
An adjustable Fuel Surcharge will be added to the utility bills each month. The amount of the fuel surcharge will be contigent
upon current fuel rates.

Utility Bills are payable at the City Hall and are due the first of the month and delinquent
after the 10th. Add a 10% penalty after the 10th of the month. If not paid by the fourth Thursday of the month,
service will be discontinued. If water is disconnected for nonpayment,
all bills plus a $50.00 re-connect fee must be paid before water service is restored.

Trash Pick Up Schedule & Regulations

Trash Pick-up

There will be no additional charge for street-side trash pick-up by City workers which does not exceed one-half (1/2) of a truck load.

Amounts ranging from one-half (1/2) of a truck load but is less than a full truck load will be $15.00.
Amounts from one (1) full truck load or more will be $20.00 per load and $15.00 for any partial loads.

All trash piled on the street will be picked up by the City at its' convenience. No partial loads will be hauled to avoid charges.

All pine needles, shrub trimmings and leaves (out of season) must be placed in plastic trash bags. Do not put said items in cardboard boxes.

The City is not responsible for the pick-up of tree trimmings done by private services without charging the responsible property owner. It is the
responsibility of the property owner to make the party providing the trimming service aware of this. The property owner will be charged accordingly
should the trimmings be placed on the street side.

The City will monitor subjects from outside the City bringing in trash, etc. into the City and placing it street-side in front of friends and relatives
houses. The resident of the same address in front of which trash, etc. was placed will be charged a minimum of $15.00 for the pick-up. Above mentioned rates would apply should the amount be excessive.

Special Pick-up of Large Items
Separate and apart from excessive trash pick-up fees will be the charge for pick-up of discarded appliances, furniture and other large items to include, but not limited to, chairs, sofas, chest of drawers, dressers, desks, filing cabinets, mattresses, bed springs, refrigerators, freezers, stoves, dishwashers, trash compactors, washing machines, dryers, water heaters, microwave ovens, toilets, bathtubs, televisions (larger than 13") and wooden crates. Pick-up of these items will be done four (4) months a year ONLY. Those months being January, April, July, and October. Pick-up of these items at other times will be done by Work Order through City Hall and will cost the resident $10.00 per item.

Prohibited Items
The City WILL NOT pick-up any type of tires, shingles, or batteries.

Dumpster Available
The City of Dyer has a dumpster available for resident's use. Due to safety, security, and insurance regulations, access to this dumpster must be scheduled through the Public Works Supervisor at 731-692-2476.

This dumpster is for City of Dyer residents only and each vehicle checking into this area will be required to have current City of Dyer Auto Registration (city sticker).

Dump Trucks Available
Residents will be able to have the city dump trucks parked on their property for the resident to load themselves and be taken away by the city the next working day. THIS IS ON AN AVAILABILITY BASIS. Separate all paper, metal, glass, wood, and other products. Arrange this service with the Public Works Department Supervisor at 731-692-2476.

Residential garbage pick-up is each Wednesday.

Place your garbage container from Barker Brothers Waste, Inc. near the street and facing the street by 7:00 a.m. each Wednesday.
