Utility Services
The City of Dyer provides Water and Sewer Utility Services to all residents of Dyer as well as certain areas outside the city limits. Garbage collection is also provided to residents.
Water bills are mailed by the last day of each and are payable by the 10th of the following month. Customers receive a 10% discount on utility services for payment by the 10th. Your water bill is due whether or not you receive a bill in the mail! You can sign up for e-billing by clicking here. Water bills that are unpaid past the 4th Thursday of each month are subject to disconnection without notice. A $50 fee must be paid before water is reconnected after non-payment.
After Hours Service
The City of Dyer provides after hours service for Water & Sewer EMERGENCIES only. To contact our on-call personnel, please call Central Control at (731) 692-3714.
New Customers
To sign up for new service, customers must have a driver’s license, a telephone number, and the required $150.00 deposit. No service will be connected without the deposit.

- Inside Corporate Limits $21.15 per month base fee: $0.40 per 100 gallons of usage
- Outside Corporate Limits $22.20 per month base fee: $0.46 per 100 gallons of usage
- Commercial Inside Corporate Limits – $23.36 per month base fee: $0.43 per 100 gallons of usage
- Commercial Outside Corporate Limits – $24.47 per month base fee: $0.49 per 100 gallons of usage

- Commercial – All industrial and commercial users of the system shall be subject to negotiation provided in the sewer use ordinance

Fuel Surcharge
An adjustable Fuel Surcharge will be added to the utility bills each month. The amount of the fuel surcharge will be contigent upon current fuel rates.
Due Dates
Utility Bills are payable at the City Hall and are due the first of the month and delinquent after the 10th. Add a 10% penalty after the 10th of the month. If not paid by the fourth Thursday of the month, service will be discontinued. If water is disconnected for nonpayment, all bills plus a $50.00 re-connect fee must be paid before water service is restored.
